100 Days of Action

The 2016 Presidential Election exposed so much about the core values of our country.

While many of us had hoped to be participating in a greater vision for America, we have, instead been confronted with painful reality that we still have a very long road ahead.

As we look at the year ahead troubled by the priorities of many of our leaders and institutions, we want to do all that we can to insure that the voices of the poor, the immigrant, the marginalized, and the helpless are not forgotten.

We have this opportunity before us right now, perhaps in greater measure than it ever has been in the history of our world.

Convergence is calling on anyone who envisions a more just and generous world into a life-giving initiative called, “100 Days of Action.” We are challenging congregations and leaders to partner together for the next 100 days in a shared voice, curriculum, and series of events that will mobilize our churches to action, not because of what we are against, but because of what we are for.

This campaign will bring together people of faith and organizations to solve great problems and participate in new opportunities, especially to heal the human spirit, to foster abundant life in community, to seek the common good, and to promote responsible living with the earth.

The 100 Days Churches and Leaders will curate a 100 Days Curriculum, centered around the four goals of the progressive movement: People, Poverty, Planet, and Peace. Each week will explore a different value: week 1 is Diversity. Beginning with the Inauguration, the curriculum content and resources will be available daily through blog, social, and email channels.

The curriculum will be curated by Convergence, featuring content and resources contributed by faith leaders, pastors, authors, activists, and leaders across the country. Each Monday, beginning next week, the new content will be released. Each week is themed around one of the goals of the progressive movement, representing one of the 4 P’s: People, Planet, Poverty, Peace.

Our goal is to resource and equip churches and leaders to continue to act to create a more just and generous world; to better address and build active local congregations.
